A Wonderful Weekend!

So this wekend has been just fabulous! About as good as they seem to get around here! Yesterday was kinda gloom and doom...cold and rainy out all day so I decided to take the boys to the Jump Zone...its a pretty awesome indoor play place here with big huge inflatables and a not ridiculously priced snack bar. We have a prepaid multi pass so it was free to get in and all I bought was one juice box and 2 air heads for the boys (total of $1.20) Our good friends Mrs. Kim and her daughter Ari met us there for an even better time!
This morning I asked the boys what they wanted to do and they said the zoo! We just went less than 2 weeks ago, but out membership is about to expire and I really wanted to get them out of the house so I agreed!

I must admit, I've been feeling a little guilty about them being in daycare all week so I am trying my hardest to make it up to them on the weekends! It's hard, but deffinitely worth it!

It was pretty chilly out (at least for us Florida folks) so I bundled us all up and headed out. I was almost convinced to stop at Target and by Jacob a new "doggy backpack" aka leash since his old one was lost in our last move but decided not to and figured I'd just see how things went!

So there we were...no stroller, no wagon, and no leash! And it went GREAT! I mean sure he ran a little, but he listened and came back...we held hands...marched...sang songs! It was so nice to be out in public with not just one, but 2 well behaved children!!!

SO anyways, we had a blast! We rode the train around and around...rode the carousel (Joey on the alligator and Jacob on the lion)...and fed the giraffes and the lorakeets (really pretty and colorful birds from the Australia exhibit).

Hopefully things are on the upswing for us! Maybe if Jacob isnt so crazy when Travis comes home, it will be easier to convince him to try for a baby girl, lol!

Loving Days Like These

I LOVE Days Like This!

Had a GREAT night home witht the boys! Honestly, probably one of our best nights since Travis has been gone! We had movie night...made pizza and popcorn and watched the movie UP (the boys allready saw it, but I hadn't)...days dont get much better than this around here! No fighting or anything!

On a side note though...have any of you gotten bad reports home from school that you thought were more of a fabrifcation from the teacher? If so, please let me know! I am planning on sitting in the "monitoring room" for a couple of days!

So normally I am used to getting "bad reports" at school from Jacob's teachers...not that he necessarily "bad" ...he's just a bit colorful shall we say! He has a new found fascination with his private parts which is quite embarrassing, but the more I talk to him about it and get angry with him over it, the more he seems to do it! One of his notes home from school earlier this month says "Please continue to talk to Jacob about exposing his private parts - Thanks!" Nuff said, lol!
So to my surprise today when I dropped Joey off at school his teacher told me he has not been listening the past 2 days! I was so disappointed! He wouldn't even look me in the eye when I was talking to him about it! He totally knew he was busted! She said he had a much better day today when I picked him up so we will see..hopefully it was just a fluke thing...I sure hope so!
We had a good night though! It's been warming up outside so the boys and I planted some flowers in some pots and also planted some strawberries! I hope they turn out!! And we also had yummy spaghetti for dinner that Jacob decided to paint his face with as I was typing this blog, lol...I wouldn't give these days up for anything though!
